Our Philosophy

The practice of physical therapy is a science and an art. At Red Rock Physical Therapy and Wellness, treatment is provided in a healing and warm environment. After a thorough examination and listening to your needs, our therapists combine a variety of manual techniques, prescriptive exercise, neuromuscular education, and other modalities formulated for each individual. These skills and techniques are combined to reduce and resolve the factors which cause pain and dysfunction. The main goals of therapy are to heal, prevent further injury, and encourage independence.

Our Goals

At Red Rock Physical Therapy and Wellness, we strive to provide a supportive therapeutic environment to help individuals successfully rehabilitate following injuries or surgery. While individual goals may vary, in general our goals include:

  • Relief of pain
  • Regaining function and mobility
  • Increasing strength and endurance
  • Improve body awareness
  • Restoring and/or improving prior level of function
  • Preventing re-injury
  • Education for return to independent living

Our Treatment Approach

We provide a one-on-one hands-on approach to treatment and integrates education along with an individualized exercise prescription. A wide range of therapeutic practices can be utilized based on a patients needs. Patients are encouraged to be active participants in care to enhance the healing process and achieve long term results.

Our Physical Therapists

Dr. Debbie Mitchell

Debbie has figured out a method to get and keep active adults and athletes to get back to their lives. She offers an alternative to medications, injections and surgery. There are options for you! It has become Debbie’s mission to help people just like you get back on track to living a fully active life.

Dr. Emily Rotert

Throughout her years as a physical therapist and working in the outpatient setting, Emily has made it a point to further her education. She has been working with post concussion patients for five years and has completed a year long certification program in Concussion Management. Emily has also completed certification in Functional Dry Needling, which she has found works well with her other manual therapy skills. Emily works hard to tailor each appointment to the patient’s needs, whether you are a competitive athlete, a weekend warrior or never exercised a day in your life, Emily will construct a program just for you, to get you back to where you want to be, doing what you love.

Ami Wilson Kalisek

Ami is an expert level therapist in the specialty of John Barnes Myofascial Release Therapy (MFR). She began MFR training nearly 25 years ago; graduating from Chicago School of Massage Therapy (now Cortiva Institute) in 1986.  She is a talented partner specializing in JFB MFR, lymphatic drainage, and therapeutic body work, and educates at a local massage therapy program. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings and with a variety of clients including Equine clients, and other animals.
